Hi there, first download the following "malware" removers:
1. http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/ [free]
2. http://www.emsisoft.com/en/ [requires free registration to use]

Then boot in "Safe Mode with Networking", to do so, right before the Windows
Boot logo press the F8 key and choose, using the arrow key, Safe Mode. Log on
into your account and then install both application.

Run one and then the others, it doesn't matter the order. Fix any problems
that may arise (using the corresponding fix button that may have) and then
close your session and reboot, after that you should be much better.

Is pretty important that you boot in "Safe Mode with Networking", or Safe
Mode is you install both applications in normal mode and run the updates,
failure to do so will result in the malware reinstalling again or tha
applicactions unable to do the job right.

Note:
Both application (if I recall correctly), need to be online, to download
updates. After that, just hit the scan button.

if i understand you right, you cant get IE to connect to the net. Are any of
your other programs (ms messenger, virus software) able to access the
internet, try downloading a new ad aware update and see if it connects to the
net. If it does and it is just IE that wont connect I would download another
browser like mozilla firefox (do you have access to another computer?) and
use firefox to do a full windows update, update all your antivirus and
spyware programs and run them. After you have updated/cleaned your PC try
using IE again
