Cannot remove a program to get disk space

Mindi

I have W XP pro. and wanted to down load SP2 but I keep getting a message
that I do not have enough disk space. I have deleted quite a few thing but
the big one is a game Battle Zone II and when I try the Uninstall says that.
Unable to locate installation file "E:\Games\Battlezone II.isu'.
Uninstallation will not continue. 517 MB This also occurs with several
others I want to uninstall. Further problem I have had with MS. When I
requested a SP2 CD from them via email I never received the CD or a
confirmation that they had received my email and were responding. I have a
Dell 4600 with 80 gs and partitioned off in sections C,D,E,F,G,H,I J, K,
but almost everything ends up in drive C creating the disk space problem.
Can some one help me with these problems. V White. Please keep it simple
and in plane simple non tech language

Move as many of the data records as you can to one of the other partitions.
Obviously, you haven't learned to use folders for keeping various data files
segregated by type of content. Partitions waste disk space because of the
overhead associated with each partition. If you can empty three or more
partisions and remove the empty partitions you will gain a lot of space.
With Windows Explorer open, click on a partition and select all files
(Ctrl+A) and click on one selected file and drag the files to the other
partition.

You can't get theSP2 CD by e-mail. Go here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp2/cdorder/en_us/default.mspx

Why did you make all those little partitions? They are causing your
space problems. In non-technical terms - and I am not saying this to
hurt your feelings or be rude - take the machine to a good local
computer repair shop and have them set everything right (including
consolidating quite a few of those tiny partitions) and install SP2 for
you. I can tell you with almost 100% certainty that if you attempt to
install SP2 on your machine as it is you will have problems.

Mindi, open MyComputer>rt click on your C: drive>select properties>disk
cleanup>more options>system restore-cleanup. Say yes to all. You can remove
the games from C:\Program Files if you are unable to remove from Add/Remove
Programs.
