I recently got a new laptop and started configuring it. Somehow, while
installing all the patches via Windows Update, I must have missed Hotfix
885250 in the list. I usually do NOT install this fix because it creates
problems connecting to our company's AppleShareIP server.
I was using this computer to try to connect to the AppleShareIP server
and got the error message that is usually a clue that 885250 has been
installed. I went to my control panel and, sure enough, 885250 had been
installed. However, the control panel says "This update cannot be
removed".
ACK! I have to get it "removed". It absolutely prevents my connection to
our AppleShareIP server... and as much as I may want to move the data
off that server to something newer, I do not have that option currently.
Does anybody know a way to remove it?
Thanks,
