My PC is hanged and when I reboot it, it shows

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\Winnt\System32\Config\System

Then I try to recover by booting the PC with the Windows 2000 CD. When the
PC booting from Windows 2000 CD, it load files, when all files load, it
shows black screen, then blue screen and power off. I have try many times
but still the same.

I have also try to use the 4 floopies to boot up the computer and still the
same.

What is happening? Please help!!!

As a first step I recommend that you follow this Microsoft
Knowledge Base suggestion:

1. Take a floppy disk that was formatted on a Win2000 PC.
2. Copy these files to it:
- ntldr
- ntdetect.com
You can find both in the i386 directory of your Win2000 CD.
3. Create a:\boot.ini. It should look like this:
[Boot Loader]
Timeout=3
Default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[Operating Systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows
2000 Professional" /fastdetect
(unwrap line)

Now boot with this disk and report the result here.

The result are as follow :

Windows 2000 could not start because of a computer disk hardware
configuration problem

Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk
hardware.

Please check the Windows 2000 (TM) documentation about hardware disk
configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional
information.

Then what should I do now.

P.S. I am using 2 harddisks in RAID-0
I have also try to use a normal IDE harddisk to install Windows 2000
but also fail.

I do not know what condition your hard disk is in. Here is
what you can do to find out:
1. Get a Win98 boot disk from www.bootdisk.com
2. Get a copy of ntfsdos.exe from www.sysinternals.com
3. Boot your machine from the Win98 boot disk.
4. Run fdisk.exe
- Can you see any partitions?
- What are they?
5. If you can see partititions, run ntfsdos.exe
- Can you see any drives?
- What drives?
- Can you see any files or folders on these drives?
- What folders on drive C:?

This sounds promising. Take your floppy disk and modify
a:\boot.ini:

[Boot Loader]
Timeout=3
Default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(x)\WINNT
[Operating Systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(x)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows
2000 Professional" /fastdetect
(unwrap line)

Use different values for (x), i.e. 2, 3, 4, 5, and see if you
can boot the machine from the floppy disk.

If you cannot boot it then you may have to rebuild the
machine. Save all important files, then boot with your
Win2000 CD and let the installation process format your
drive C:.
