Cannot read one instance of this recurring appointment

I frequently get the error "Cannot read one instance of this recurring
appointment" when I try to open an instance of a recurring appointment that I
have changed (in other words, I set up a recurring appointment, open one
instance of it and change it's start time, attendees, etc., then save it).

I found the following on a google search:

But I can't find that post here (perhaps it was a different MS newsgroup).
I also can't find the file "frmcache.dat" on my HD (I searched for that
string and didn't get any results).
