cannot print from IE6

Hi,
I have been thru every option I can think of in "tools" of IE6, but cannot
print a webpage. First of all, "Print" isn't even in the pulldown menu. If
I click "print" button on the website, I get an error popup "This action is
restricted. For more information, please contact your system
administrator". Well, I am the admin.
This only happens with IE, not Word or other apps. Anyone have an idea??
Thanks!

Suggestions:

Go to C\:Windows\System32\Spool\Printers and delete the contents.

Also: Go to IE/Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Uncheck Enable third-party
browser extentions. Reboot

Good luck and keep us posted. :o)

Thanks Kelly!
I tried each of your suggestions in order.
There are no contents in the C\:Windows\System32\Spool\Printers folder, so
nothing to delete.
I unchecked the 'Enable third-party browser extensions' and rebooted, but
still the same issue.
The winguides site is great. Tried the fix you posted, but the registry
value wasn't there to delete.
I also browsed at length the two URLs (and many more in the microsoft
support sites) but was unable to find an issue listed that exactly matches
mine.
One more thing I should mention, under the "File" pulldown menu, only "page
setup" appears, and it is grayed out. When initially starting IE, the
"Print" and "Print Preview" menus DO appear, albeit grayed out. But when IE
finishes loading, those two menus disappear. Wierd! And if I "cntl P" or
click the print button on the toolbar, I get that wierd error message "This
action is restricted. For more information, please contact your system
administrator".
This is a minor issue to be sure, because if I have to print something from
IE, I can do it from my other PC. However, this issue is bugging me. ;-) I
just can't figure out why IE won't let me print. However, Word and other
apps will print fine.
BTW, I have been to your site in the past. Very very nice!
Best,
Fred
