Cannot open PDF documents from remote sites.

When I try to open PDF documents with a link to remote sites it just comes up
with a red X in the upper left hand corner. Could this be due to security in
XP service pack 2 ?

Is there a setting I can change to get the PDF links to work like it once did?

No, it is a problem from IE when I click on a link to a PDF file.

No, it is a problem from IE when I click on a link to a PDF file.

OK - then I suggest you post IE questions in IE groups such as
m.p.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.* - this is an Outlook newsgroup.

You need to allow ActiveX controls to run on that page - you can either add
it to your trusted sites or set up IE to prompt you for ActiveX on any page.
Also check the 'gold bar' at the top of the window.
