Cannot open Outlook Express V6

When I click on any of the shortcuts or even the
desktop icon, a window showing Outlook Express Version 6
starts to open and then hangs. Using Ctl-Alt-Del I can
close the window otherwise it just sits there and goes
nowhere. I have uninstalled IE Version 6 and reinstalled
hoping that would help but it didn't make a difference.

The one time I managed to get on OE, it stalled after I
tried to open the Inbox folder again after utilising
another folder.

Can anybody please help, suggest anything? Thanks.

You are posting in the wrong newsgroup. This newsgroup is for Outlook.
Outlook and Outlook Express are NOT the same product. Nor are they a
full and lite version of the same program. Nor are they siblings or
code derivatives of each other. Outlook is a component of the Office
suite whereas Outlook Express is a component of Internet Explorer. One
is oriented towards business use (and costs money), the other to
personal use (hence it is free). Repost to a newsgroup for Outlook
Express. If your news server doesn't carry a newsgroup for Outlook
Express, use Microsoft's news server (news.microsoft.com). If you use a
web interface for newsgroups, go to
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups/ or http://groups.google.com/.
