It happened with beta 1 and beta 2, I have an MSN premium account with
outlook connector and It cannot open the set of folders, " folders has to
contain Mail or PIM items in order to use outlook connector" if i set a new
profile add a pop3 account and add the Msn premium account as secondary works
fine but I cannot use the data file from the premium account as default.

I'll appreciate your help.

Thanks

Perhaps the Outlook Connector does not yet work with Outlook 2007 Beta.

mm II've downloaded from beta.microsoft.com an outlook connector for office
2007 , and didnt work with beta 1 or 2, if you want to try is still there

I don't have access to beta.microsoft.com so can't get it from there. Surely
if MS are making beta 2 public then the connector should be public too.

Is not posted for the beta 2 yet, im using the one for beta 1 but is not
workingneither with 1 or 2, and if I go back to Outlook 2003 it works like a
charm

You definitely need the updated connector. If that is not publicly available
yet then hold in for a while. I'd expect it to be made publicly available.

Well, the connector for beta 1 is available and is not working on Beta 1,
never worked

Why? Hotmail and Outlook 2007 are completely unrelated. You don't need
Outlook at all to access Hotmail and Outlook is usable with all manner of
mail services other than Hotmail.

no idea what do you mean.

With outlook connector you get everything, calendar, tasks, notes,
everything sync with your msn account

The updated connector we have been using in the beta has definitely worked.
I'm using it now.

read through the posts - you can't yet unless you are actually on the beta.
wait for it.

You are obviously unaware of Outlook Live, with Outlook and the outlook
connector you can have the full outlook experience with your hotmail account
not just mail, but tasks, contacts, appointments etc are syncronised between
outlook and hotmail so that when you are on the road you can get exactly the
same info through hotmail as you can in outlook at your desk.

btw, no need to be so off hand with carlos.

I'm completely aware of it. The point I was trying to make is that the OP
(Rick) seemed to be of the opinion that everything that worked with Outlook
prior to OL 2007 should continue to work. That's not a realistic viewpoint.
with Outlook and the outlook connector

At the time I said what I did, there was no Outlook Connector publically
available that would work with Outlook 2007, but you seem to be completely
unaware of that.

Brian,

I have been reading your responses on two separate threads. I’m
experiencing the same problems with the Outlook Live Connector not
functioning properly with the Beta 2 release. Your input on both threads
only serves to prevent communication of helpful information on this topic.
Quite honestly, it appears you need some psychological help. Give it a rest.

Carlos, I've been having issues setting up Outlook 2007 as well and basically
had to completely uninstall my Office 2003 and then install Outlook 2007 but
before trying to open the program I deleted all of my old data files in the
"mail" folder from the control panel and reset up my accounts again and all
went well from there.

Hope this works for you!
