When I try to open a new window in Internet Explorer 6 it just closes the window I am currently in and reopens it. I have never seen anything like this and I haven't been able to find anything on the web with the same problem... Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated...

Thank

I am having the same problem. It began only yesterday.
Do you, by chance, use McAfee Personal Firewall or
Privacy Service? I wonder if they could be causing
this. But I have the same problem even when I shut them
down, so it's probably not that.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

Subject: When I launch an instance of IE6, it seems to launch the next
instance of the window, but then it closes it and launches the new one over
the existing one. Thus, I can't have multiple instances of I.E. running.
Very frustrating.

Solution: Yahoo Companion.
I uninstalled it and I'm now able to open new windows (Ctrl-N or
File/new/window)

The synergy of this group is fabulous.

Glad to see that all is well.
