cannot open hyperlink

Frustrated

I use Outlook 2000 and have updated it recently. I cannot seem to open any
hyperlink in an email in Outlook; it does not open any Window or do anything.
I feel this happened after I updated it but not sure?

Reset your default browser in Windows.
