Cannot open folders in the same window

OK, now I know this sounds simple, but this one isn't. I tried the
normal things like selecting the use same window option and I went to
file type and selected option explore under File Folder and Folder,
and that didn't fix. I replaced the explorer key in the HKR\Folders
\Shell from a working PC. Any other ideas?
