Cannot open .DOC attachment from Outlook 2007

When I get an email with a .DOC attachment I cannot open it. I have tried
double clicking in the email preview (I have turned off attachment preview
because it is not the newest version of Word) and right-click -- open. Word
openes but with the Outlook Web Access page instead of the attached document
with the following error message at the top of the page: "Your Web browser is
configured not to run script or doesn't support script in Web pages. Check
your browser settings, or use a browser that can run script. "

I am not using Web Access either.

I am not using Web Access either.

Perhaps you have an invalid file association for the .doc file type.
 
Hi,

possible reason might be that .doc is not the default extension to open word documents,

MS Word is not configured as the default editor for MS OUTLOOK
