Cannot open attachment!!!

The "fix" is to switch to the newer Windows Live Mail or another email
program.
MSFT hasn't updated Windows Mail since it was released with Vista over 2
years ago, so they aren't likely to now.

I was having trouble opening only certain e-mail attachments in Windows Mail,
until today. I highlighted the email and then right clicked, click on junked
e-mail, click on add sender's domain to senders safe list. I was then able
to open the attachment. I'm not sure that this will continue to work, or
each time you get this type of email that you will have to do the same thing.
But it worked today
