Cannot open a new internet explorer window

Hi there
When I am in internet explorer and hover thr mouse pointer over a link and right click then select open in new window nothing happens in the new window. This also happens with pop-up windows as well. What could be wrong with internet explorer

Any help would be greatfully appreciated

Do you have any third party programs that are pop-up
stoppers? I use to use popup-stopper and it would
disable opening a second internet explorer unless you
help down the shift button and click IE.

Need more info.
