Cannot Name New Folder

Over the past week, anytime I've created a New Folder and then attempted to
name it something else (using just the normal alphabetical characters, and
not duplicating folder names within the same location), the folder name
resets right back to New Folder. Virus and spyware scans have yielded no
issues. Anyone have any thoughts?

I've attempted using the context menu, as well as using the F2 keyboard
shortcut. I even looked at System Restore earlier today to try restoring to
a previous point, but it appears my copy of Vista Business hasn't created any
restore points since I installed it (and I do have System Restore enabled;
not too concerned about this oddity, though, if I can get the New Folder
renaming issue fixed).
