cannot makre exes work

Is this true for all .exe files or just one? If it is just one then perhaps
the file is damaged. Are you aware that some viruses come in the form of
..exe files and when clicked on appear to do nothing? You might want to run a
virus scan.
 
Hi Peter,

If this occurs for all exe files, try Doug Knox's EXE File Association Fix,
available for d/load from here:
http://dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm

Save the zipped file to hard drive. Open the zipped file and double-click on
the xp_exe_fix.reg file within. Click on Yes when asked if you want to add
the information to the registry.
