Cannot logon to domain with Windows XP pro

K

Kim Snyder

Error message:

LSA Shell [Export Version} encountered a problem and
needed to close.

You then get the NT Authority Shut Down window with error
code 1073741819

Work around: reboot computer with network
cable "unplugged", logon onto domain, plug network cable
back in...you can then access network, e-mail etc.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? Or have any
suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Kim,

It is possible that the registry ACL for the key Lsa may not be set to the
default.
The default ACL for the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
is:

Administrators Read & Full Control
Authenticated Users Read
CREATOR OWNER (*SPECIAL*) Full Control to Subkeys only
Server Operators Read
SYSTEM Read & Full Control

Let me know if this helps.

Best regards,
