Cannot log into Domain

Hi,

Since doing a Windows Update and rebooting a few days ago
I have been unable to log into my office's domain. I can
log into my machine as a local user and see the domain
and connect to network drives etc. by providing log-in
details once already into Windows XP, but I cannot log-in
from the start screen (after re-boot etc.).

This is only since doing an update. And advice?

what's the error? also check the DNS settings.
