Cannot join XP home machine to domain

I have a W2K domain, and I can see it on the network.

I don't have the option to "Rename this computer or join
a domain" on the System Properties page, and I don't have
a link to the Network ID Wizard, either. Am I missing a
protocol?

Thanks.

Nope, you are not missing anything....
It just plain not possible for XP Home to join a
domain...you need XP Pro for that!
XP Home can access shared recourses on the domain but
cannot join the domain...

That is the major difference between XP Home and XP Pro - XP Home is not
able to join domains, as it's designed for use on a single computer or a
small peer to peer home LAN, not a corporate network running Windows
domain(s).
