there was a post a few days ago dealing with "Installing Windows Components".
The error was a little different. Try to look for it.I will try also.
In the mean time try to run Add/remove program from
Start>Run>C:\windows\system32\appwiz.cpl
or
c:\windows\servicepackfiles\i386\appwiz.cpl

What happens?

Thanks
Nothing help and I've installed windows Xp again. but after installing
updates the problem occurred again.
anyone knows?

It worked OK until you installed updates?

Do this:
Start>Run>cmd okay, enter
Type: expand f:\i386\appwiz.cp_ c:\windows\system32\appwiz.cp
should see file expanded.
type: exit

where "F" is your cdrom drive and "C" is your windows location

Try to run Add/remove programs

If this doesn't work, let me know.

Thank you
at this time everyting go good, I've removed and install again the
components.
thaks again
