Cannot install vga drivers

I just reformatted a white box computer that's got a MSI 650GLMS
motherboard. This mobo is based on the SIS650 chipset, with integrated SIS
video, and I have downloaded the VGA drivers from both the MSI website and a
driver website. The driver package appears to be the correct one. However,
the drivers will not install. I've tried various ways with no luck. The
driver installation package does not see the hardware, and when I start from
Device Manager, it won't accept the inf as the right one.

What is going on here? I'm really stumped.

thank you,

Yes. That's what I used. That's why I'm so perplexed. And the video is
working (albeit at very low resolution), so it's not like a hardware problem
is preventing the OS from detecting the component.

I'm stumped. I've tried over and over to load these drivers, and it's as
they are the wrong drivers. If I run the executable it tells me the video
card cannot be detected on my system, and I have to cancel out. If I
attempt a manual install from device manager and point the hardware wizard
directly at the driver files, I'm told that Windows is unable to find the
appropriate software.

Thank you for the link. Any other ideas?
