Cannot install Flash

None of my browsers will accept an adobe flash install. Well more to the
point is that it installs no problem and I get the animation on the adobe
website, even the browsers (IE7, opera and firefox) all say flash is
installed but every page I go to that requires flash says I do not have it.
An example, I can view youtube videos that are embedded in other webpages,
but I cannot view them on the youtube website itself.
It has been like this since I installed Vista but only now is it becoming
more of a pain.
Can anyone help on this please?

There is a bug in vista, that keeps naging you to reinstall the player

the easiest solution is >>>

use the uninstaller:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/

uninstall and THEN reinstall again from the installer on that same
page....

that way you will have the latest and greatest and everything will work.

Wonders!! Thankyou so much, that worked. I only wish I had asked a few
months ago. lol

Easy enough to blame Vista except that I had the same problem with XP. Only
after I bought a new notebook with Vista did I see the solution in this NG
and it worked for XP too. :)

Cheers, Dave

Nah... dont blame yourself.. blame vista ;-)

Hello this is a IE7 specific problem... IE7 was a vista era designed
application that
they also gave to XP users.... It was designed with the same great quality
vista was.

With ie6 on XP it would never ever happen!

Hey.. when you have a chance to blame vista... done lose the opportunity!
:)

It cannot be IE7 specific as the same problem was on my Firefox and Opera.
