access to and it's files but I rectified that. also, can't print from this
account.

How about a little more in the way of description?
What do you mean by "account that I didn't used to have access to and its
files"?
What version of WordPerfect?
Have MS Word and can it open the files (File --> Open and select the file
from in Word..)?

I had an account on my computer that would not allow me access to some files,
even though I am the administrator. I offered this information thinking it
has something to do with my current problem; if it doesn't please disregard.

initialize". Does anybody know what this means?

Uninstall (Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs) Wordperfect 10 and
Reinstall it after you reboot.
That is likely the fastest solution.

If you got "Access Denied" messages for those files..
