Cannot import vCalendar file(meeting.ics)

Exchange 2000/Outlook 2000 user sends a meeting request to Exchange 5.5/Outlook 2000 user. Even though its not sent this way, the request is received in iCalendar format, with meeting.ics attachment. Error comes up when double-clicking the attachment: Cannot import vCalendar file. Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid. Users on Exch 5.5 don't have this problem sending to other Ex 5.5 users? Any reason why the meeting requests for E2K to E5.5 are coming in as .ics?

What can I do to send meeting requests from E2K to 5.5?

What is the problem? The newsgroup interface you are using apparently does
not quote earlier messages in the thread, making your latest message so
short on detail that you risk not getting the answer you're looking form.
