cannot import mpegs or capture footage

at the moment i cant capture footage from my camera. so i
capture through the program i got with it. the program is
imagemixer 1.1. the footage is fine, but is saved as an
mpeg. when i try to import these mpegs it comes up with a
warning about how the files do not contain any info.

is there a way i can fix the mpeg problem or the
capturing problem

MPEG2 files are difficult, as they are very dependent on the codec being
used - see the Importing Source Files... Video Clips page of
www.papajohn.org
