I started my system, which has ran XP Pro well for 2 years now, and it came
up with a message box with some gibberish in it and a button to push which
says OK. When I press the button windows starts but none of the programs
which used to load at start up actually load. Instead I am prompted to pick
programs from a list or look for them on the web. Also, once this is past,
the icons on the desktop and all the start menu items have the app name
followed by a .ink extension.
This is pretty wierd. I cannot figure out how to get the system back. I do
have all of my data on my c drive. If I book to a prompt I can see all of my
data.
Could somebody help me figure out how to fix this?
Thanks in advance -- I need your help!
