I installed the game with no problems. I reboot and come
to the desktop where I activate Halo. I receive this
error: "A problem occured initializing Direct3d.
Hardware acceleration maybe disabled. Please run DXDIAG."

The first time I did this, I ran it. I noticed that my
AGP Texture Acceleration could not be activated. I
performed both DirectDraw and Direct 3D acceleration
tests; . I reinstalled my nForce drivers and the AGP
Texture Accelration tab is now available. What else is
preventing me from running this game? Here's my DXDIAG
display tab properties:

------------
DxDiag Notes
------------
DirectX Files Tab: No problems found.
Display Tab 1: No problems found. DirectDraw test
results: Failure at step 7 (User verification of
fullscreen bouncing): HRESULT = 0x00000000 (error code)
Direct3D 7 test results: All tests were successful.
Direct3D 8 test results: All tests were successful.
Direct3D 9 test results: All tests were successful.

The box did not bounce full screen. It only bounced
inside it's little box in the center of the screen. Any
ideas what is causing this?

i had the same problem
if you are running re4orce, restore default settings and
you will find that halo will run. the only problem with
this is that when you play other game that need a forced
refresh rate you will need to auto populate the settings
again. this is the only fix i have found

good luck
