Cannot get a second web page open ?

What is going on here ? I start my PC and go on the net, everything is OK.
I can click on a link and it opens in a new window. Everything normal there.
However, after a while, when i click on a link it brings up a blank page
which tries to load but the little blue screens in the right hand taskbar
don't light so no traffic is getting through. Yet i can still use the
original page (most left in the taskbar, i.e. the net has not disconnected).

However, if i then close that original page then try to open one up again, i
get the same problem 'Connecting to site 66.102.11.104' which stays there
for ever and doesn't pull in any info.

I can still operate my e-mails and other non-explorer dependant programs as
normal when it's like this, just the IE6 browser doesn't pull any info in.

The only thing i can do is a re-boot.

IE6.0.2600.0000, WinXP Pro, Athlon 2.2, 620Ram.

It MIGHT be that your browser has been hijacked.

Try spybot or any other adware remove tool.

Spybot is here: http://www.safer-networking.org/ its
seems to work well.

Wish I was rich I would send the guys some money for
coding it hehe.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for your posting here.

This problem may occur because some of Internet Explorer's .dll files need
to be re-registered.

To resolve this problem, re-register the following files:

- Urlmon.dll
- Mshtml.dll
- Shdocvw.dll
- Browseui.dll
- Msjava.dll

To do this, follow these steps:
1. Click "Start", and then click "Run".
2. In the "Open" box, type "regsvr32 <filename>" (without the quotation
marks) and click "OK".
3. Click "OK" to the following message:

DllRegisterServer in <filename> succeeded.

Note Replace <filename> with the name of the file to be re-registered.
