cannot find

When booting up Windows Xp pro I get a pop up message "Windows cannot find
AUDCNTR.EXE"..it does'nt seem to affect my ability to do anything on my
operating system.

Can anyone help?

Hi Damien,


Go to Start > Run > msconfig
and uncheck all references to this entry.

You might consider doing a scan of your system with ad-aware and
spybot.

Also look in the C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Start Menu\Programs\Start Up and C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs\Start Up folders, and in the
system registry, primarily in the
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run keys.
