Cannot find Personal Macro Workbook

S

Shams

Folks,
I am trying to run a macro by storing it into the Personal Macro Workbook
but it is coming back saying that the Personal Macro Workbook in the startup
folder must stay open for recording. Once I hit okay, it says Unable to
record.

Not sure why this is happening. I went under Help and About Microsoft Excel
to see my disabled items and I do not see it listed. So, how do I see where
my Personal Macro Workbook is listed? Any help will be appreciated! Thanks.

Shams.

This is where it is on my computer:

C:\Documents and Settings\RConverse\Application
Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART\personal.xls

It's typically pretty much the same.

Close Excel, then hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and see if you still have a running
copy of EXCEL.EXE. Kill it and this should get fixed.

Also you could check Tools>Options>General>"At Startup, open all files
in" and make sure it is blank.

HTH,
JP
