I have XPP installed, and I upgraded my hard drive. I ran
the XPP installation from my old hard drive and installed
XPP on my new hard, taking the option at installation to
choose the partition. After that, I rebooted and was given
the option to start either XPP installation and I started
the new one, which ran fine. Now I removed my old hard
drive and I want to boot only from the new one, but when
the machine boots I get a message 'NTDLR not found' and I
cannot start XPP. How do I fix this?

OUCH--the boot files are on the old hard drive which you removed.
You will need to use the fixboot option in recovery console or run a repair
install.
