"cannot find mail server"

I have a POP3 email account that I have used with Outlook
on another computer. I just got a new computer, set up
the email account the correct way, but cannot send any
emails. The problem is mainly with the Outgoing mail
server. Any suggestions? I already downloaded Office XP
SP3...
 
What happens when you use the Test Account Settings? What is the exact
error message?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
