Using MS word I write stories and save it as a Web File.
Whenever I try to 0pen these web files from my file
manager (MS Windows Explorer)(and with Internet Explorer
closed) a pop-up message says
"Windows cannot find 'C:\xxxxxx. Make sure you typed the
name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file,
click the start button, and then click Search".
After that Pop-up message appears the File opens anyway.
If I happen to have Internet Explorer turned on before I
Double-Click the files from Windows Explorer, then I will
not get that pop-up message.
I recently installed a new hard drive, re-installed
Windows XP, and downloaded all the critical updates. On
my old hard drive, under the same Windows XP, I never got
that pop-up message. Makes me wonder if those critical
updates made things more complicated.
