Hi, I need help with my computer! I cannot start in Safe mode by pressing F8,
I cannot restore the system back and I cannot reinstall my WXP Home , the
error that comes up says that I cannot restore WXP Home as I have a newer
virson on my computer? I have never (well I don't think I have) updated my
WXP? Can anyone help? Also I am not a computer wiz, so could you explain in
easy terms. :) Thank you!

jazzyk - The reference to a "newer version" means your current installation
includes SP2 and your XP CD does not . SP2 updates XP and considrs it a new
version.
Options are: find reference to "slipstream" SP2 and the XP cd or remove SP2
via control panel.

What happens when you key F8 imediately during the start of win boot? (note
sometimes it helps to press it numerous times)

you can press F2 which I have but it asks for a password to prceed, tried
mine but does not work. Also say press F11 but that does nothing!
