I'm migrating from a PC to a laptop. I have Outlook 2000
installed on the PC (and now on the laptop) and something
is obviously wrong with the install on the PC because it
will not export anything. When I try I get an error
message that the CD is required, however even with the CD
it still will not export. I've tried the repair etc and
it still doesn't work.

Is there any way I just locate the files the messages are
stored in on the hard drive and copy those over to the
laptop?

Look for a .pst file - copy that to your laptop and use File->Open in
Outlook. Do NOT import it.
