cannot edit

We've been working on a Power Point presentation and saving each and every
time. Now ... we cannot edit, it's like everything is locked ... we cannot
insert pictures, we cannot move pictures, etc. Can you help?

What version of PowerPoint.

When you say "we" does this mean that you're passing the presentation from one
person to another? That is:

The presentation was editable yesterday on computer A but is not uneditable
today on computer B

or

The presentation was editable yesterday on computer A but isn't editable there
today

When you open the presentation, what does it say in the title bar at the top of
the PPT window?
