Cannot edit web page from IE6

P

Peter smick

My user has XP Pro, with FP2000 installed and assigned as
her IE6 default HTML editor, and can use FP2000 to edit
her web site just fine.

But when she uses IE6, goes to one of her pages and
chooses "Edit With Front Page", she gets an error message
pointing to a non-existant C:\documents and
settings\...\temporay Internet Files\... location and the
message ends with "The device is not ready".

How do I fix this so that the user can edit her own
website directly from within IE6?

Thanks in advance,
Peter Smick

I don't have a direct answer for you... but I use IE6 and fp2000 just fine
so you might want to look for other problems.

Could be a hosed installation of IE6????
Are all updates and service packs installed??????

Anyway..... hope this might help.

Could her Security settings in IE6 be set at Maximum instead of Internet
Zone? (Just tossing an idea in the hat.)
