Cannot download windows update

Hello, I have a problem downloading windows update, i get the same message
that i should have administrator privilages to download them and i am logged
in as the administrator.
iIalso get problems downloading any software .I get the message that dll.
not found . I can browse the internet but not download. I tried system
restore, reformat my laptop but no joy. Please help.

Hi Nass,
Like downloading yahoo mesengger for example, i get this message
c:WINDOWS\USER32DLL. not found access denied.Am not sure if i got the Admin
privilege that your saying but in the user account am logged on as the
computer admin. Is that fo the MS default admin only?

Hi Xetra,
User32.dll not found thta means the file missing or misplaced, most
application delpend on this DLL.
= First try to Run this command and see if the OS will repair it for you,
Open a Run command and type in:
sfc /scannow click [OK] and let it run, get your XP CD handy to insert
it in if the OS prompted you to do so to repaird the damaged/corrupted
files/folders in the system core.

= The other option is to copy this file from the CD or from here:
C:\Windows\System32 to this0 Path C:\Windows as it been needed by the
Application.
My guess is the download is looking for this DLL in this path C:\Windows and
can't find it, so it given you this Error message.
BTW, did you installed the Videp Card Driver and the Motherboard drivers
from the Video/Motherboard CD drivers?.
