Cannot display XML in Outlook 2003

Hi!

I have a user whose Outlook 2003 profile does not allow her to display
XML code when embedded in an email. The XML was generated by another
user using Microsoft Publisher 2003. Below are my findings so far:

- User is using Outlook as her editor. This should not have an effect
on reading email, but I wanted to throw that in just in case.

- She can read other emails okay (HTML, richtext, etc.)

- When she moves over to another PC, she can read XML.

- When others jump on her PC and log in as different users, they can
read the XML just fine. The PC is Windows XP Pro SP2 with the latest
security fixes.

Therefore, it appears to be Windows profile-specific. I tried creating
a new Outlook profile for her, but the XML problem still exists. I
really don't want to blow away her Windows profile - as I would have
to spend many more hours re-creating every setting she has. I would
rather repair her existing Windows profile.

Thanks!

what happens when she tries to view it?

Here's an example of what she sees:

SMALL PRINT: The contents and information within superwiser are
intended....
[learning2lead]
[connecting points]

Paragraph of text........

[quick hit]
[learning2lead]
[quick hit]

So basically, she can see the text. But as for the graphics, links,
columns/windows, it is non-existent. When I look at the source code
making up the email, it is using XML code. All the graphics are from
MS Publisher, and the author used one of the Publisher themes. This
problematic user also has Publisher installed on her PC.

Thanks!

You might check to see if the XML Parser is installed and up to date. If the
user is using Vista, also make sure that you have the Update for Microsoft
XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB936181 ) & (KB941833) installed as
well.
