Cannot display system information (msinfo32.exe)

Can anyone please help?
I try to access system information and nothing is displayed.
I have installed SP2 but not sure when this problem occured.
Computer doesn't state a problem
I have tried run msinfo32exe and the file is showing at correct location etc
it just won't show me what is going on.
Any ideas guys?????

Verify your settings here: Start/Run/Regedit

Go to Start/Run/CMD and type in: net stop winmgmt. Then delete the
System32\wbem\repository directory. Once done go back to Start/Run/CMD and
type in: net start winmgmt.

If none of the above helps, replace your Boot.ini.
 
Thanks for the advice.
All path values are correct.
I tried deleting repository folder but wouldn't let me due to other
person/program using it?
Nothing seems to have sorted problem can you explain what is meant by boot
ini.
Sorry if I sound silly but this is all new to me.
Thanks again and any other advice would be greatfully accepted.
 
Used fix and system info now goes to help and support but another problem
created.
Hopefully on the way to recovering situation
