Cannot Delete Mail Message

Windows Mail Program: Inbox message will not delete or move to another
folder. The message body (html normally) does not show - it has a (i) icon
and the following: "Message could not be displayed Windows Mail encountered
an unexpected problem while displaying this message. Check your computer for
low memory or low disk space and try again" Checked those and they are not
the problem. I click the Delete button or try to move and get the folliwng
message(i) icon and: "an unknown error has occured". I tried all I know to
delete or move message. It will not. Does anyone have any idea how I could
get rid of this (it's a known message and sender and is not itself a problem
email message) from my inbox. Thanks for any ideas.

Microsoft has a fix for that:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090
"Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a
computer that is running Windows Vista"

That page offers two download options. Unless you know for sure
you have 64-bit Vista, use the 32-bit option.

Although only 'Outbox' is mentioned, it will enable removal of stuck
messages from any folder.

Download and install this fix, with Windows Mail not running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck iin the Outbox, it also works in
other folders. If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit version or
the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first. Certain common antivirus
programs, such as most of those from Norton or McAfee, or a recent
one from Trend, tend to cause such problems in Windows Mail,
although seldom immediately, so if you have such a program,
remember where to find the fix - you are likely to need it again.

You may have to delete the message after applying the fix, though.
