Cannot Delete hiberfil.sys With Hibernate Disabled

Mike

Hi all,

I've disabled hybrid sleep and set all the sleep settings I can find to
"never", but I still cannot delete hiberfil.sys. If I boot into another OS,
I can (of course) delete the file, but it comes back at next boot (using up
a gig of HD space).

Anyone solved this or know of a global disable hibernation setting??

Thanks,
Mike

From vistarip.com knowledge base:

This is how to disable the hibernation feature of Beta 2, as the setting
isn't in the power settings. Being enabled, you end up with a large
hiberfil.sys on your root drive.

---------------------------------

1. Hit the Windows Key and "R" at the same time to bring up the Run prompt.

2. Type CMD to bring up a command prompt.

3. type "powercfg -h off" without the quotes.

4. Close the command prompt windows to finish the process.
