Cannot delete "found.000" file created by aborted chkdsk

P

Paul Barasoa

A few days ago I started a chkdsk run on a external USB harddisc.

After a while I noticed that this run will last approc 40 hours. So I aborted this chkdsk prgm.
Unfortuantely a file found.000 remains on the disk which I cannot delete.

Does someone know a method of getting rid this file?

chk files and the Found folders

Chkdsk saves each repaired file in the root folder as a File<nnnn>.chk file,
and each repaired folder in the root folder as a Found.<nnn> folder, where
<n> is a number.
