Cannot delete file

I am trying to get rid of a startup item in the msconfig.exe startup panel.
It is a last remnant of a vistascan scanner. I cannot find it anywhere and
yet it pops up as a startup item in the msconfig.exe.
It is shown as c:\progra~1\vstascan\vsaccess.exe

I tried deleting it from the command prompt but it could not find this path
and file.

How can I get rid of this bugger?

try deleting this entry from registery hkey_Local_machine-
software-> Miscrosoft-> windows-> Current Version->
Run.... The delete the values for this program on the
right side. And do it in the safe mode, also uncheck the
program from the msconfig in safe mode, and try to search
this file through start-> search. And delete any entries
from safe mode

In addition to my previous reply,just to telkl u this is a
scanner driver for XP
