cannot delete file

I have Windows Xp Home I have a file on my desktop CA5HBZ68. that I cannot delete,rename or move.
I have tried the command prompt (dos) but the file does not show there. When I try to do anything with this file in windows I get the message -

'cannot delete file; cannot read from the source file or disk'

I have tried to boot in safemode, I have tried the programme MoveOnBoot, the file is 0 bytes, has no file extension, no open with, and is unchecked.
I have tried the admistrator account and user accounts.

How do i remove this file ?
