Cannot Delete a file in temp folder

When I go to the Local Settings folder, I have a Temp
folder & a Temporary Internet Files folder. I cannot delete
the files/folders in the Temp directory. I get an Error
Deleting File or Folder. It says: Cannot delete SITE_E~1:
Cannot find the specified file. As I look in the Temp
folder, there is a Temporary Internet Files folder, in that
folder is a Content.IE5 folder, in that folder there are 2
folders. In each folder I was able to delete all files
except 1. It has a long name that starts with
site=evite&pagepos=... If I right click this file, my
options are only Open & Send To. I don't have an option to
delete or rename. How do I go about deleting this file?

Not sure yet the *reason* for these files, it's security flaw of
sorts, by rogue websites. I just had the same problem (but using
Windows 2000 Professional), and was able to "resolve" or at least
delete the offending files/folders following the instructions of this
post:
