Cannot create pivot table

Hi all

I am running Office 2002 on Windows XP. I am trying to create a pivot table
based on a simple query, however when I drag & drop fields on either the
'Drop Column Fields Here' or 'Drop Row Fields Here' regions, I get the
following error message in the Detail area:

The query could not be processed:
The data provider didn't supply any further information.

People on other PCs are able to open the same database and create a pivot
table on the same query without any problems.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I'll presume you are using Access.


What is the data source for the pivot table?
What happens if you do the same using native Access data (ie nWind) and the
pivot table wizard ?
