cannot create new message

I am not able to create a message or reply to an existing message in Outlook
2000. All boxes are greyed and the menu-items cannot be accessed.
I experience this problem in all Office application which means that I
cannot create a new Word-document, PP-document, Excel-file.....

who can help?

I think it started after replying to an e-mail message although it is not
completely clear.....I normally filter my -e-mail messages using Mailwasher
before having them in Outlook.

Outlook Express does not give any problems.

Try turning off Mailwasher.

The problem was an experid Office license. Office did not tell me that when
starting -up. I saw this when I moved the mouse over a grey item
