Cannot create new appointments in Outlook 2003

I have a user who cannot create new appointments in his own calendar.
When you try to create a new appointment nothing happens. However,
other users are able to create appointments on his calendar. I tried
running a detect and repair and a scan ost and nothing changed. I also
checked the task manager to see if two instances of Outlook were
running and there were none. not sure what else to check from this
point!

What version of Outlook is he running?
Please verify if his data store is pointing to the correct path, I think its
called Data File in the English Outlook 2003, presently running in a Japanese
environment, after a reboot I can check in the English one.
But looking to make sure his settings for his email are pointing to his
Exchange account might help (if you are running exchange).

Hope it helps,
Jon

Pat sorry for the confusion.

In Outlook 2003, do the following:
Tools
E-Mail Accounts
View or change existing e-mail accounts
Click on Next
At the bottom right you will see the "Deliver new e-mail to the
following location:"
Verify if this says Mailbox - Username LastName

or if it says personal folder.
If you are running Exchange this should be set to the mailbox-username
lastname
so that it will know where to store the data.

Hope it helps,
Jon

I checked and my users Mailbox is properly configured with Exchange.
Any other ideas that may help?
